On my return journey from Dubai in late February 2023, I was filled with excitement and decided I want to create a WIN Fashion Line – a line that would feature clothing made by women and girls who have no financial resources and will also feature printed art on clothes from WIN women and artists. All sales will go as donations to the women and girls we support.
With this vision in mind, I decided to organize a fashion show, that will have role models wearing the clothes, featuring the art made by those girls and women. The goal was to showcase the art printed on scarves, hats, and clothing and put them all for sale for donations.
To facilitate the sale of these unique creations, I planned to establish a dedicated Fashion Section within WIN.
Motivated by my idea, I approached the Outer Edge Fashion Team, and together, we committed to making the fashion show a reality.
And so, my journey began. I knew I have only about a month left before the event started, but nothing stopped me.
I’ve printed the art on clothing, such as hats, t-shirts, hoodies, skirts, wonzis etc, and collected some other designs and jewelry from donors, while organizing the presentation for the show, brought my own videography team, and made all this happen within less than a month.
On March 21, we had our first-ever fashion show at Los Angeles Convention Center during the Outer Edge LA event. In attendance, we assembled a group of 20 prominent thought leaders, along with individuals passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of artists and others. I invited some top influencers and game changers, such as David Bianki, Swan Sit, Logic, Sabbath, Clon (cool cats founder), Alisa Jacobs, Shira Lazar, and so many others, who walked the runway. I took charge of the entire production and was hosting the event live on stage. The show was a resounding success! We had hundreds of attendees who not only enjoyed the spectacle but also gained a deeper understanding of the charitable organizations we support and the remarkable women we collaborate with.
